The “Know Your Rights” public meeting will teach participants their rights when dealing with the police. What should you do should you be stopped by the police? White Plains Holds Successful Summer School Session WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. –The White Plains Board of Education reported positive numbers for the elementary summer school session during its meeting Monday night. Superintendent Paul Fried reported on the completed session held during July. Approximately 190 students in grades kindergarten through third grade were served, and the average daily attendance rate was 85 percent, which the board noted is an exceptional rate for summertime. Fatigue Likely Caused Tracy Morgan Crash That Killed Westchester Man PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The 2014 crash involving a truck driver and actor and comedian Tracy Morgan – in which passenger James “Jimmy Mack" McNair of Peekskill was killed – was likely due to the truck driver’s fatigue, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.
