Thomas Geser, 88, Formerly Of Pound Ridge
POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Thomas C. Geser, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 8 in Fort Myers, Fla. Formerly of Pound Ridge, he was born in 1927 in Buffalo, the son of Elmer (Joe) and Eloise Geser. He married Ida Ruth (Lee) LeRay in White Plains in 1950. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed with the signal corps in Fort Monmouth, N.J. Before retiring, he was an electronics engineer. He was active in Pound Ridge, where he was one of the founding members of the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps and past president of the local chapter of Lions Club International. New Rochelle Water Main Break Results In Flooding, Contamination
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle and Eastchester residents experienced flooded lawns and contaminated water Saturday after two water mains broke, reports News12 Westchester. The breaks occurred on Weyman Avenue in New Rochelle and Mill Road in Eastchester, according to the report. No boil-water advisory was put into effect as a result of the breaks, according to lohud. PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Former longtime Port Chester resident Barbara Belfatto, 73, died Sunday, Oct. 11, at her residence in Pawleys Island, S.C. Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Loretta Wolynski and the late Walter Wolynski. She lived in Port Chester for about 30 years. Belfatto was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. She was former president of the Women’s Club Parish Council and the Low County Herb Society. Wyckoff Looking For Sugar Plum Fairies, Elves To Create Winter Crafts
WYCKOFF, N.J. – Wyckoff will usher in winter with children’s crafts at Lincoln Elementary School for five weeks during November and December. Boys and girls in pre-K through second grade can take part in winter inspired games and crafts, which will culminate in a cocoa party.
