Mount Kisco Hosts Two Egg Hunts MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco will host two egg hunts this weekend at Leonard Park The Flashlight Egg Hunt for grades 3 through 5 takes place on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. The rain date is March 28 at 10 a.m. A Junior Egg Hunt for kids in grades 2 and below will be held March 28 at 10 a.m. The rain date is March 29 at noon. Participants should bring a working flashlight and a basket or bag for egg collection. Both hunts are free and take place in Leonard Park's Memorial Pool Parking lot.

Demolition Of Tappan Zee Bridge Maintenance Offices Concludes TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Demolition of the New York State Thruway Authority's former maintenance offices concluded this week.  As previously reported, Tarrytown will get a a new bridge maintenance facility.  Maintenance teams will operate from a temporary facility near Exit 12 in West Nyack until construction of the new facility has completed. Two southbound lanes of the Thruway will be closed from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Thursday as the Thruway Authority replaces an overhead sign near Exit 11. Putnam Health Department Dispenses Free Rabies Shots MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Department of Health will host a free rabies vaccine clinic at South Putnam Animal Hospital in Mahopac on Saturday. Dogs, cats and ferrets can get a free rabies vaccination with proof of Putnam County residency and prior rabies vaccination. Tags are not acceptable as proof of prior vaccination.  Pets that do not have prior vaccination will receive a one-year rabies vaccination. Dogs must be leashed, and cats and ferrets must be in carriers. The event runs from 2-5 p.m.  South Putnam Animal Hospital is at 240B Baldwin Place Road, Mahopac.

Greenwich's Bruce Museum Presents Animals In Children’s Book Art GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Bruce Museum will present the exhibition "Wild Reading: Animals in Children's Book Art" beginning March 26. The exhibit will explore the lives of both realistic and exaggerated wild animals in more than 30 original works by several artists, including Quentin Blake, Eric Carle, Wendell Minor and Maurice Sendak.  Taxidermy specimens, including a fox, groundhog, rabbit, chipmunk, squirrel, raccoon, birds and insects, also will feature in the exhibition and be matched alongside works to emphasize the artistic techniques.
