MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Wartburg recently hosted a reading and signing of NY1 reporter Cheryl Wills at its Rehabilitation and Adult Day Services Center. Wills' latest "The Emancipation of Grandpa Sandy Wills" is an illustrated children's book version of "Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale." Alzheimer's Association Offers Musical Social Programs
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter will begin offering its Music School Programs in Dutchess and Ulster counties this spring. “This is my passion, working with people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. I am really excited to be expanding so much,” said Melinda Burgard, certified music therapist/New York State licensed creative arts therapist, who oversees the sessions. H. C. Crittenden Sixth-Graders Hold Fundraiser Breakfast
ARMONK, N.Y. -- H. C. Crittenden Middle School sixth-graders will hold a fundraiser breakfast on April 16. The breakfast will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Seventh Grade Boston Trip. Each student is asked to sell 25 tickets to the breakfast at $6 each until March 23. All proceeds from ticket sales and unsold tickets must be brought in by March 23. Easton Schedules Public Hearing On Budget
EASTON, Conn. -- Easton will hold a public hearing for the proposed 2016 fiscal year budget on Monday, March 21, according to Connecticut Post. The meeting will take place at the Samuel Staples Elementary School cafetorium at 8 p.m., Connecticut Post reported.
