Putnam Sheriff Searches For Man Wanted For Bail Jumping PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Alberto J. Santiago, 48, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, DWI and bail jumping. A Putnam County superior bench warrant was issued Sept. 4, 1997, and a bench warrant was issued Oct. 24, 1997, to answer to the charges. If anyone has any information as to Santiago’s whereabouts, contact the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department at (845) 808-4357.

Walmart Apologizes For Making ISIS Flag Cake PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Walmart issued an apology Monday after one of its stores made a cake with the ISIS flag on it, reports The Huffington Post. Chuck Netzhammer of Slidell, Louisiana, posted a video to YouTube explaining that he originally wanted a cake with the Confederate Flag on it, but when his order was rejected, he requested the Islamic state flag to make a point that Walmart would accept one flag, but not another, according to the report. Patricia A. DeMino, 81, Of Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Patricia A. DeMino Vida, 81, of Fairfield, died Sunday, June 28. Born in Bridgeport, Vida was a lifelong area resident. She was a retired key punch operator, founding member of A Project from the Heart and devoted mother of four. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony M. DeMino and Josephine M. Bambino DeMino; and a sister. Survivors include her children, Anthony M. Vida Sr.; Mark R. Vida; Craig S. Vida; and Karen A. Norwalk Transfer Station Will Close July 4 NORWALK, Conn. – Garbage and recycling services will run a normal schedule for the rest of the week through July 3 in Norwalk. The Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent Street, and the yard debris site, located at 15 South Smith Street, will be open during regular business hours. The Norwalk Transfer Station and the yard debris site will both be closed Saturday, July 4, and will re-open for regular business hours Monday, July 6. The planets are actually 416 million miles apart but are appearing to meet together in the sky in this rare "Double Star" event.
