Pedestrian Struck By Tractor-Trailer In Croton CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A Yonkers woman was seriously injured Tuesday after a tractor-trailer ran over her leg and foot while crossing Croton Point Avenue, reports lohud. Diana Faulknor, 46, stepped off a curb to cross the entrance ramp to Route 9 south at around 9:46 a.m. and got too close to the tractor-trailer as he made a right turn, pinning her leg and foot under the rear wheels, according to the report. July Is Peak Month For Lightning Strike Deaths FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – July is the peak month for deaths caused by lightning strikes, reports the Weather Channel.   Summer has more thunderstorms that occur during a season where more people are outside, leading to a higher number strikes – an average of 15 lightning deaths occurred in July from 2006 to 2014.
