WESTPORT, Conn. – Dora Stuttman, 90, of Westport, died Monday, July 6.
She grew up in the Bronx, daughter of Bessie and Michael Berman, sister of Gail Berrent. At an early age, her interests in education and helping others were nurtured while a student and tutor to others at Evander Childs High School and as a member of the USO during the war years. She had a successful career in New York City and Westport.

State Police Charge 198 With DWI During July 4 Crackdown
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – State police arrested 198 people for DWI during a statewide crackdown on impaired or distracted drivers during the July 4 holiday weekend, according to New York State Police.
Troopers conducted sobriety checkpoints where more than 12,885 vehicles passed through.
The enforcement began Friday, July 3 and continued through Monday, July 6. State police issued 10,759 tickets during the campaign and targeted impaired drivers and distracted driving, speeding, move over violations and motorists who were not using their seatbelts.

Peter Tamucci, 79, Of Rye
RYE, N.Y. – Peter Tamucci, 79, of Rye, died Friday, July 3 at Calvery Hospital after a battle with cancer. Tamucci worked as a postman. He was born in June 1936 in Port Chester, New York, to Joseph and Anna Tamucci. He was educated in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1954. He served in the Navy and was a member of the Independent Trinity Church in Mamaroneck, New York.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susan, and a brother.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Mary), Jack (Angela), Fred and Rocco; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen Jelinek (née Straus), 66, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. – Helen Jelinek (née Straus), 66, of Yonkers, died Monday, July 6 after living with ALS for nearly five years.
She was a longtime employee at Woolworth's in Cross County.
She was the wife of Stanley W.; mother to Helen and Stanley E. (Traci); and a grandmother.
Family will receive friends Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Flynn Memorial Home in Yonkers. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church, Yonkers. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York.
