Westchester County Sees Slight Drop In Unemployment Rate WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Westchester County is included in a list of New York State counties that have the lowest unemployment rate for June 2015, according to the New York State Department of Labor. Westchester County’s unemployment rate dropped to 4.6 percent. New York State’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased from 5.7 percent to 5.5 percent between May and June 2015, the lowest since 2008. The state’s private sector job count increased by 173,500 from June 2014 to June 2015. In June 2015, the number of private sector jobs in the state was 7,804,200 – an all-time high.…
