Redmond was born Sept. 27, 1962, in Bridgeport, son of the late George and Mildred (Schmidlin) Redmond, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a truck driver by trade, an avid Washington Redskin fan and loved canoeing, camping and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his son, Kevin Redmond; 10 siblings; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and a brother-in-law. Born April 26, 1915 in Bridgeport to the late Stephen and Josie (Yankovska) Nowakowski, she attended school at St. Michael's in Bridgeport and became a longtime parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church. Two Charged After Lake Peekskill Robbery LAKE PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Two men were arrested Saturday in the robbery of a laptop, iPad and tools from a motor vehicle in Lake Peekskill, according to New York State Police. Eric Miller, 27, of Putnam Valley, New York, and Michael Federici, 27, of Yorktown, New York, were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a felony. An investigation by state police determined that the two men were responsible for the theft. The majority of the property was recovered from Miller's residence in Lake Peekskill.
