Indian Point Testing Equipment, Hosting Training Drills BUCHANAN, N.Y. – Security officers will be participating in scheduled training drills and weapon testing at the Indian Point Energy Center starting Tuesday and continuing over several weekdays through the next three weeks. Members of the public may hear the sound of artificial gunfire from simulated weaponry used during the drills and testing. The drills will culminate with Nuclear Regulatory Commission-evaluated security exercises during the week of Aug. 31, where the plant’s security capabilities will be tested. LaGrange Bank Robbery Under Investigation LAGRANGE, N.Y. – The Chase Bank in LaGrange was robbed Friday morning, according to the New York State Police.  A man entered the bank, located at 704 Freedom Plains Road, at approximately 11:49 a.m., and demanded money. The state police are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the suspect wanted for robbery.  If anyone has information regarding the bank robbery or the suspect, they are asked to contact state police at (845) 677-7300.
