Westchester Legislators Approve Yonkers Family Court Move
YONKERS, N.Y. – The Westchester County Board of Legislators on Monday approved the plan for a new Family Court facility in the City of Yonkers. The new facility will be at 131 Warburton Ave., half a mile from the present court at 53 S. Broadway. NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Pequenakonck Elementary School is hosting movie night Friday, Oct. 2 with a showing of “Home” at 7 p.m. A Fun Zone including games and activities will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission of $5 per person includes the Fun Zone, popcorn and movie. 'Strayhorn: An Illustrated Life' Exhibit On View In New Rochelle
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – “Strayhorn: An Illustrated Life” will be on exhibit at the Museum of Arts & Culture, in the new wing of New Rochelle High School, Sept. 25 through Nov. 25. The exhibit, a program of the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence, will celebrate the centennial of Billy Strayhorn, the man who created many of the world’s most recognizable jazz standards. The exhibit is based on a new book with that title by A. Alyce Claerbaut and David Schlesinger. Tires Stolen Off Woman's Car In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers woman leaving for work Tuesday morning found that all four tires of her Honda CRV were stolen overnight, reports News 12 Westchester. Surveillance video caught a suspect taking the tires off of Katie Duffy’s car in the Valentine Garden Apartments, according to the report.
