Elaine Louise Mischler, 88, Formerly Of Emerson
EMERSON, N.J. – Elaine Louise Mischler, 88, formerly of Emerson, died Monday, Sept. 7 in Bradenton, Fla.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. While in Bradenton, she attended church and Bible study regularly and was the organist and choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was the secretary of the LWML at Hope Lutheran Church.
While her daughters were growing up, she taught piano lessons at home. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, needlepoint, take pictures and travel extensively with her husband.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her parents John and Clara Mahler. …
Military Collectibles, Knife Show Coming To Patterson
PATTERSON, N.Y. – The military collectables and knife show will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Patterson Recreation Center, 65 Front St., Patterson.
Historical items for sale will include insignia, medals, uniforms, equipment, swords, knives, headgear, books, artwork, and antique muzzle loading guns. The material will cover the years from the American Revolution to the present day. There will also be uniformed “living historians” onsite to answer questions about the eras they represent.

Marie S. Mitchell, 95, Of River Edge
RIVER EDGE, N.Y. – Marie S. Mitchell, 95, a 71-year resident of River Edge, died Monday, Sept. 21.
She had retired as a sales associate from Gimbles in Paramus. She was a devout and active member of Church of the Annunciation in Oradell.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry.
She is survived by her children Diane May (Chuck); Bonnie MacLeod; George Mitchell; and Mark Mitchell (Alison); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
