He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran who received two purple hearts, and an active member and a trustee at Holy Cross Armenian Church in Union City. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Claire; his children Kim Deas and Christopher Hovsepian; a sister; a brother; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother.
