She was born in Italy, grew up in Jersey City and lived in Kearny, N.J.,, before moving to Glen Rock in 1985.  For 25 years, she was an administrative assistant at Sport Shots in Midland Park and also owned Doreen’s Chocolates in Kearny with her daughter. She is survived by her daughters, Linda and her husband, Rod Bolten, of Ridgewood, New Jersey; and Doreen and her husband, Les Miller, of Glen Rock; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, George, died in 2013.

Franklin Lakes Reviewing Sidewalk Snow Shoveling Ordinance FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – Police Chief Carmine Pezzuti and Patrolman Denny Knubel have recommended a snow-shoveling ordinance that would require all owners of property that border sidewalks to clear snow within 24 hours of a snowstorm or one hour before school opens, reports NorthJersey.com. The Borough Council’s current ordinance requires only property owners near a school to follow the current time frames in place for snow removal, according to the report.
