St. Margaret Of Cortona Offering Mass Of The Annointing
LITTLE FERRY, N.J. – St. Margaret of Cortona Parish in Little Ferry is having a Mass of the Annointing at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. The Mass will begin with the Rosary followed by the Mass of the Anointing. This sacrament may be received more than once and is for any person who has become ill and is in danger of subsequent sickness. Spring Valley Warned By State To Enforce Fire Codes, Inspections
SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. – Spring Valley has been ordered by state officials to begin inspecting buildings and schools that could potentially endanger students, tenants and first responders or face a takeover by the state, reports lohud. WESTON, Conn. – Vandalism was reported at the Bisceglie and Morehouse ball fields in Weston on Sunday, Oct. 11, reports the Weston Forum. Darien Elementary Enrollment Could Increase With Residential Developments
DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien school administration's projections for elementary school enrollment show a drop through 2020, but future residential developments could impact those numbers, reports the Darien Times. At Wednesday’s board of education meeting, members discussed how to predict the possible future impact and relayed how the Kensett development was not supposed to impact enrollment in the district, however, Ox Ridge Elementary has seen the enrollment of 46 children since 2013, according to the report. Rockland Task Force Fights Food Waste
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. – Leaders of local food-related nonprofits and county Legislature Chairman Alden Wolfe (D-Suffern) have created a task force to minimize food waste and provide assistance to those suffering from food insecurity, reports lohud.com.
