Stamford Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter In 2006 Shooting Death Of Teen STAMFORD, Conn. – Relel Domond, who was charged with murder in the 2006 shooting death of a 15-year-old Flanegaine Joseph in Stamford, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter Monday in a plea deal, reports the Stamford Advocate. Domond, 29, was sentenced to nine years in prison, the report said. Held since his December 2008 arrest, he is scheduled to be released in 2019, the Advocate said. She graduated from the basic school of the New York State Police Academy. This was the second police academy graduation Stelmach and her father, Sgt. Vincent Stelmach of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, attended together – they were both present at Sgt. Stelmach’s graduation from the New York State Municipal Police Training Council basic course in 1989, when his daughter was just 10 months old.

Man Arrested 5 Months After Fleeing Bethel Police BETHEL, Conn. – A Brookfield man was arrested Thursday for fleeing Bethel police five months earlier, reports NewsTimes. Justin McCurdy, 26, fled a checkpoint while officers were reviewing his license and registration information after he was stopped May 22 for not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. A warrant was issued for McCurdy's arrest and he was taken into custody Thursday and charged with engaging in pursuit, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, misuse of plates, operating without a license, failure to obey stop sign and not wearing a seat belt.
