He was born in New York City and was a longtime resident of New Milford. He was retired from the New York Telephone Company where he had been employed for many years. He enjoyed vacationing in Aruba, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bridgeport Police Department Bags Shrimp Shoplifter BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Officers arrested a man on charges of attempting to steal five bags of shrimp from Food Bazaar on Sylvan Avenue on Monday, according to the Bridgeport Police Department. Carlos Muniz, 37, was viewed in surveillance video trying to leave the store with the bags of shrimp concealed under his sweatshirt and sweatpants, police said. Police also found there was an active warrant for Muniz’s arrest, officials say. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny. Bond has been set at $500.
