NEW MILFORD, N.J. – Marco John Nicolich, longtime resident of New Milford, died Tuesday, Nov. 10.
He was born in New York City and was a longtime resident of New Milford. He was retired from the New York Telephone Company where he had been employed for many years. He enjoyed vacationing in Aruba, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Local Artist Sister Adele Myers, 90, Of Sparkill
SPARKHILL, N.Y. – Sister Adele Myers, a sister at the Dominican Convent and acclaimed local artist, died Saturday, Nov. 7 at Siena Hall in Sparkhill at the age of 90, reports lohud.
Myers founded Sparkhill’s Thorpe Intermedia Gallery and received the first County Executive’s Arts Award for Excellence in the Arts, in addition to teaching at Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia and St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, according to the report.

Raymond H. Kappmeier, 88, Of Ridgefield
RIDGEFIELD, N.J. – Raymond H. Kappmeier, 88, of Ridgefield, died Sunday, Nov. 8.
He was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Union City, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Before retiring, he worked at Western Electric in Kearny.
He was the husband of 64 years to Elizabeth (neé) Cappitelli; father to Garry and his wife, Judy; Louise Grossi and her husband, John; grandfather to four grandchildren; great-grandfather of three; and brother to three siblings.
The family will receive friends from 8-11 a.m. Thursday at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. A funeral service will follow …
