Tellabration Storytelling Program At JCC Sherman SHERMAN, Conn. – The JCC of Sherman is hosting “Tellabration,” an evening of stories at 6 p.m. Saturday. Two professional storytellers, Ann Shapiro and Carolyn Stearns, will entertain the audience with stories, ethnic folktales and legends.  A Tellabration is a celebration of the oral tradition of storytelling. Tellabration is a storytelling phenomenon made up of dozens of storytelling happenings across the world. Its purpose is to introduce adults and children to the pleasures of storytelling. Glen Rock Welcomes Holidays With Winter Wonderland GLEN ROCK, N.J. – Celebrate Glen Rock's third annual Winter Wonderland from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at Glen Rock Borough Hall. Festivities include a children's petting zoo, pony rides, hot chocolate, cookies and treats for the kids. The Glen Rock PBA also will collect unwrapped toys for its annual holiday toy drive and will offer free gift bags for children. Frosty the Snowman and Santa will make appearances. Lakeland HS Field Hockey Team Wins Seventh Consecutive State Title SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – The Lakeland High School field hockey team won its seventh state title in a row on Sunday with a 4-1 victory over Garden City on Long Island. It was Lakeland's 10th state title, all under Coach Sharon Sarsen. Lakeland, which has not lost to a New York State team since 2008, finished 22-0. It was Dana Bozek's fifth state title.
