Harrison Woman Faces Drug Charges In Putnam SOUTHEAST, N.Y. – A Harrison woman was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance Wednesday, Nov. 11 after a traffic stop on Route 22, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. Alexandra M. Salvo, 21, of Fremont Street, Harrison, was charged with the misdemeanor after the car she was riding in, driven by Hector W. Serrano, 40, of Cornwall, Conn., was stopped for a traffic violation at around 1:30 a.m., according to police. Serrano was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Putnam County Resident’s Request To Ban Hunting Denied PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – A proposal by a Brewster resident requesting Putnam County explore prohibiting hunting was turned down Monday, Nov. 9 during a Protective Services Committee meeting, reports the Examiner. Resident Paul Saloon, concerned about hunting happening near his home on Ridgetop Lane, said in a letter to the county Legislature that hunting with shotguns and firing weapons in Putnam County should be banned, according to the report.
