Man, 35, Charged After Confrontation At Beekman Arms Inn In Rhinebeck
RHINEBECK, N.Y. – A Brooklyn man was arrested Tuesday after a confrontation at the Beekman Arms Inn in Rhinebeck, according to New York State Police. Michael J. Gonzales, 35, was charged with assault in the second degree, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and other vehicle and traffic violations after police were called to the Inn for a report of an unwanted person at the business and he was later pulled over, police say. Yonkers Superintendent Michael Yazurlo Steps Down
YONKERS, N.Y. – Yonkers Schools Superintendent Michael Yazurlo is leaving his position due to health reasons, the school district said Friday in a statement. Yazurlo, 66, will be immediately replaced by Deputy Superintendent Edwin Quezada. Born in Yonkers, Yazurlo is the former Superintendent of Tuckahoe Union Free School District, where he served for 13 years, and an associate professor of graduate education at The College of Saint Rose and State University of New York at Stony Brook, according to Yonkers Public Schools. KATONAH, N.Y. – Flames tore through a Croton Lake Road home Friday morning, causing considerable damage, according to reports. The basement fire started just after 6 a.m., the story says.
