Philipstown Worker Killed After Being Pinned Servicing Forklift PHILIPSTOWN, N.Y. – A Philipstown man was killed Sunday after he became pinned under a forklift while performing maintenance on the truck, reports the Putnam County Sheriffi’s Department. Joseph Giachinta, 58, was performing maintenance on the forklift at his business, Mid-Hudson Concrete Products, located on Route 9 in Philipstown, when the hoist and jack system holding the forklift up fell, pinning Giachinta under the heavy piece of machinery.
