Three Double-Shootings In Connecticut Over The Weekend; 1 Woman Dead A massive party in a Manchester parking lot has police seeking a suspect in a fatal double shooting. It was the third double-shooting in Connecticut over the Aug. 1-2 weekend. The most recent incident happened at the parking lot party Sunday, Aug. 2. State Police responded to the area of the Buckland Street commuter parking lot around 2 a.m. Police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and estimated that there had been 100-200 people at the parking lot party. $5,000 Reward: 'Ladies Man' Is Suspect In Double-Murder Of CT Brothers A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help police track down a double-murder suspect. Russell T. Smith, of Windsor, is suspected in the killing of two brothers outside of a Bloomfield bar on Saturday, Feb. 22, police said. The brothers who died are Aaron Walker, of Windsor, and Franklin Spencer, of East Hartford. Smith faces two murder charges. Court has set bail at $5 million. Smith is 5’10” and weighs 180 lbs., police said. He is black, is bald or has short hair. Gang Warfare Is Behind Spike In Worcester Shootings; Crips Enter Fray A recent increase in gun violence in Worcester can be attributed to an escalating gang war, police said. Now, a national gang has joined the fray: the Crips have alleged themselves with the Eastside gangs, police said in a recent search warrant. They are going after members of the city’s Kilby/Main South gangs. There have been 15 non-fatal shootings this summer - a 15-percent hike over the same period last year, according to the Telegram and Gazette. Seen HIM? Police Searching For Suspect In McDonald’s Armed Robbery Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly held up a Westborough McDonald’s cashier using a knife. On the evening of July 23, police were called to 299 Turnpike Road for a reported armed robbery. The area was searched and although the suspect was not found, some items connected to him were discovered - including a cash drawer, police sad. Tornado Warning Downgraded To Severe Thunderstorm In Hampshire County A tornado-producing storm is on its way out of Western Massachusetts and the National Weather Service has downgraded the area’s alert level from Tornado Warning to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. The National Weather Service reported at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, that people should be wary of severe thunderstorms in the Eastern portion of Western Massachusetts until around 10 p.m. The storm produced a tornado that touched down in Sandisfield at around 7:30 p.m. causing damage to Main Street, The National Weather Service said. The twister was also spotted overhead in Blandford.

Covid-19, Where Are The Hot Spots? Town Infection Rates And Trends - Hampshire County Positive COVID-19 test rates are going up in Northampton, Easthampton, and Belchertown, while Amherst's positive test rate continues to decline, according to the most recent information from the Baker Administration. In Massachusetts, the goal is that by December the state will have less than 5 percent of COVID-19 tests come back positive. On Aug. 1, Gov.
