Westport Issues Traffic Alert For Elm Street Lot WESTPORT, Conn. -- Elm Street will be restricted to one lane from March 14-18 due to construction work.  The Elm Street parking lot adjacent to 36 Elm St. will be used to facilitate the dismantling of the crane at the Bedford Square construction site. The street will remain open for access to businesses.  Some short periods of time when traffic will be stopped on Elm Street may ensue. A traffic officer will detour foot and vehicular traffic.  Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution, expect delays and seek alternate routes. The lot will re-open March 18, pending weather.

Mamaroneck HS Jazz Band Wins Top Honors At Sleepy Hollow Festival MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The Mamaroneck High School Band took top honors at the Sleepy Hollow Jazz Festival.  “This is a big accomplishment for us, and the festival was such a meaningful experience on so many levels for every student involved,” said band director Tim Hooker. The jazz band won first place among nine bands from high schools in Westchester, Orange and Rockland Counties. Yoga Teacher Maria Polhemus Plays Key Role At Pawling Library PAWLING, N.Y. -- Maria Polhemus teaches the weekly afternoon and evening hatha yoga workshops at Pawling Library. Polhemus also leads the library's monthly yin yoga / meditation workshop.  Intermediate Hatha Yoga is held on Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. Evening Hatha Yoga takes place Thursdays at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Yin Yoga / Meditation is held the third Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Registration is required for all programs, with a fee of $4.
