Greenwich Ballet Academy Plans Summer Intensive Auditions
GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Ballet Academy will hold Summer Intensive auditions on Saturday, March 12. Students ages 8 through 17 with an interest in strengthening ballet technique with pre-professional classical ballet training are invited to audition at the academy studios. The three-week Summer Intensive program includes training in pre-pointe, pointe, technique, repertory, character, modern and Pilates. Bardavon Screens 'Rain Man' With Wurlitzer Organ Music
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Bardavon will screen "Rain Man" on Friday, March 11. "Rain Man" stars Tom Cruise as a car dealer who discovers his estranged father's estate was bequeathed to Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), a brother with autism whose existence was unknown. The 1988 film won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Original Screenplay, Director and Actor in a Leading Role. Wilton High To Offer New Engineering Course
WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton High School will expand STEM-based learning by offering Project Lead the Way: Introduction to Engineering Design in the 2016-17 academic year, according to the Wilton Bulletin. Students will learn about various engineering disciplines, as well as problem-solving skills and how to apply engineer designing processes as they work, the Wilton Bulletin reported.
