Two Charged With Marijuana Possession After Yorktown Traffic Stop
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A North Salem man and a Port Chester woman were arrested Saturday after a traffic stop on Route 35, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Kevin A. Valenzuela, 26, and Candace T. Culbreath, 29, were stopped at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday for an alleged broken tail light. Further investigation revealed that Valenzuela was allegedly in possession of 2.1 ounces of marijuana, and Culbreath was allegedly in possession of 3 grams of marijuana. Westchester Auto Dealer Will Pay $32K For Deceptive Ads
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Hyundai of White Plains will pay $32,500 in penalties and other costs to New York State for deceptive advertising after an investigation by the attorney general’s office found that the car dealer used misleading advertising practices in its print and online ads, according to Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman’s office. Learn To Draw Manga At Field Library In Peekskill
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The Field Library is hosting a workshop for teens and tweens who want to learn how to draw comic books and Japanese manga Tuesday, July 14 from 3:30-5 p.m. The free workshop for middle and high school ages is presented by local artist Jasmine Johnson, in partner with The Field Library’s Anime Manga Club. Participants will earn how to make a comic book or manga from start to finish, including developing a storyline, boxing on the page, dialogue and more. All supplies are included free of charge. The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave, Peekskill.

Todd Elementary School Unveils Mural At Art, Music Festival
BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. – Todd Elementary School unveiled its new mural at its annual art and music festival held May 27. Each student in the elementary school contributed to the yearlong project unveiled at the festival, which showcased some of the work students completed during the 2014-2015 school year.
