Irving “Snapper” P. Mills, 88, Of Westport WESTPORT, Conn. – Irving “Snapper” P. Mills, 88, husband of Dolores Maresca Mills and lifelong resident of Westport, died Sunday, July 19 at Norwalk Hospital. Mills was born in Westport Aug. 24, 1926, and was the son of the late Clifford and Catherine (Healy) Mills. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Kowalsky Brothers in Westport and for the Town of Westport as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399 in Westport and he loved fishing and stock car racing. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Dolores, of 65 years, include a brother and siste…

The 2015 Emerging Young Artist Scholarship seeks to instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts by providing students with opportunities to produce original works of all genres. Man Charged With DWI After Taconic State Parkway Crash EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. – A Bethel man was arrested Monday for aggravated DWI following a car accident on the Taconic State Parkway, according to New York State Police. Christian Grillo, 43, was involved in a one-car collision when he was traveling southbound and exited the roadway at the Interstate 84 exit ramp. A breath sample showed Grillo’s blood alcohol content was .30 percent, over three times the legal limit of intoxication. He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. He was charged with felony DWI due to a previous DWI conviction in 2014. …
