Fall Crafts At Lyndhurst Returns To Tarrytown
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst, Westchester’s most beloved out-of-the-box shopping experience, returns this fall, running Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Lyndhurst mansion.
For 31 years, this popular semiannual event has been located in the Hudson Valley, which National Geographic, Fodor’s and Time Magazine have all recently named one of the “Top Places to Visit” in the world. Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst showcases over 300 modern American makers, artists, designers and craftspeople from across the country.

Madeline A. Czerniowski, 74, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. – Madeline A. Czerniowski, 74, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Saturday, August 22.
She was born to Frank and Madeline Mondesando Salciccia.
She retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles in Yonkers before becoming the supervisor of the crossing guards in the First Precinct in Yonkers until she became ill.
She is survived by her children, Cherie Czerniowski and Eric (Camille) Czerniowski; one brother; and two grandchildren.

Joe Flores, 63, Of Irvington
IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Joe Flores, 63, of Irvington, died Wednesday, Aug. 19.
He was born and raised in the Bronx, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Valerie Betances, April 19, 1991, in Irvington. He had a passion for woodworking and was a member of the White Plains Veterans Center.
He is survived by his wife; stepson First Sgt. Gerald F. Betances; and three grandchildren.
Visiting hours will take place Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry.

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – Mary C. Hendron, 75, of Tuckahoe, died Thursday, Aug. 20.
She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hendron.
She was employed by Booz & Company (N.A.) Inc. as an executive secretary.
She is survived by her brother. Joseph and was predeceased by her sister, Theresa.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home, Bronxville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe.
Anna Zukowski Pigiel, 95, Of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Anna Zukowski Pigiel, 95, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, Aug. 19.
She was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Poland, to the late Ignacy and Stephanie Federowicz Zukowski. She emigrated from Poland immediately after World War II to join her husband, Kazimierz Pigiel, in Bridgeport. A few years later, they bought a home on Fairview Avenue in the late 1950s, where she resided until her passing.
She spent most of her working life as a seamstress working for various companies in the Bridgeport area including Warnaco and American Fabrics.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Jane Kranyik O'Connor, 55, of Fairfield, died Friday, Aug. 2, of cancer.
Raised in Fairfield and Easton, O’Connor graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1978.
She worked many years with the Great American Stamp Company and Ed Mitchell's, both of Westport. She enjoyed crafting as well as gatherings with family and friends.
