Passaic County Courthouse Plaza Contract Reduced By $81K PATERSON, N.J. – Officials reduced Passaic County’s $780,290 contract with Tec-Con Contractors to finish the county courthouse plaza in Paterson by $81,162, reports the Paterson Times. Eastern Christian Children's Retreat Expansion Approved In Wyckoff WYCKOFF, N.J. – The Eastern Christian Children's Retreat expansion plan to increase bathroom accommodations was approved unanimously Wednesday, Aug.12 by the planning board, reports Wyckoff Suburban News. A 290-square-foot addition will be added to the 10-acre facility to provide for medical needs, in addition to more concrete paved exits from Willow Lodge living quarters, according to the report. Anna Zukowski Pigiel, 95, Of Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Anna Zukowski Pigiel, 95, of Bridgeport,  died Wednesday, Aug. 19. She was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Poland, to the late Ignacy and Stephanie Federowicz Zukowski. She emigrated from Poland immediately after World War II to join her husband, Kazimierz Pigiel, in Bridgeport. A few years later, they bought a home on Fairview Avenue in the late 1950s, where she resided until her passing.
