Motorists are advised that the southbound Bronx River Parkway will be closed between the Westchester County Center and Ardsley Road on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The closures are necessary to install plug joints in the southbound direction on the new bridge. She was born in Mount Vernon, April 21, 1939, to Charles and Alice (Foster) Hoyt. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1957. Pleasantville Panthers Baseball Team Competes In Cooperstown PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The 12U Pleasantville Panthers baseball team traveled to Cooperstown, N.Y., during the week of Aug. 17-21 participate for the first time in a weeklong baseball tournament, playing seven games in four days. The Panthers lost an exciting 3-2 playoff game in the last inning, despite a complete game effort from Michael La Capria. The team also had the opportunity to compete against a team from China during the tournament, and visited Double Day Field and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
