NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Happy Birthday to New Rochelle’s Joe Klein! Klein, an American journalist, columnist and author, turns 69 on Monday. He was born Sept. 7, 1946, in New York City. He is the political columnist for Time magazine and is best known for his novel “Primary Colors,” based on Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign. In April 2006, Klein published “Politics Lost,” and has also written articles and book reviews for The New Republic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Life and Rolling Stone.

Larchmont Library Receives $24,000 Grant For Construction Updates
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – The Larchmont Public Library received a $24,250 state construction grant that will be used to remove an out-of-date, unsafe ramp for the handicapped at the main entrance and replace it with one fully compliant with the American With Disabilities Act. The grant is part of the State Aid for Library Construction Program, a $14 million capital fund devoted to public library construction projects in the 2015-16 state budget. VALHALLA, N.Y. – Before the 2015-16 academic year began in the Valhalla Union Free School District Sept. 2, the boys soccer team was already on the field from Friday, Aug. 28 to Sunday, Aug. 30, preparing for a successful season. Larchmont Public Library Dedicating 'Ryder's Children's Garden'
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – The Larchmont Public Library will dedicate a new outdoor garden space designated as “Ryder’s Children’s Garden” at noon Saturday, Sept. 26 on the north side of the library. The garden was created in memory of Ryder Gordon Brown, who died Jan. 18 at the age of 3, following a brief illness. Man Involved In Putnam Valley Crash Had Revoked License, Sheriff Says
PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. – A Wappingers Falls man involved in auto accident in Putnam Valley Sunday, Aug. 30 had a revoked driver’s license, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. Keith P. Tomlins, 57, of 16 West St., Wappingers Falls was involved in the automobile accident that occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Bryant Pond Road in Putnam Valley, according to officials. GREENBURGH, N.Y. – The Greenburgh Department of Parks and Recreation is offering a nature walk at Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve at 10 a.m. Saturday as part of the annual Hudson River Valley Ramble this fall.
