Saccone, 85, of Bridgeport, husband of Sylvia De la Victoria Saccone, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport Dec. 3, 1929, he was the son of Peter and Mary Feola Saccone, and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.  Saccone was a graduate of Central High School and went on to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Bridgeport. Alfred Hatzmann, 92, Of Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. – Alfred Hatzmann, 92, of Ossining, died Saturday, Sept. 12. He was born May 2, 1923, in Tarrytown to Alfred and Rose (Kacian) Hatzmann. He graduated from Ossining High School in 1941. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific theater in the Air Squadron VMB 423 from 1942-45. Dutchess Sheriff Identifies Men Killed In Route 9 Crash RHINEBECK, N.Y. – The Dutchess County Sheriff's Department has two men involved in a fatal two-car crash early Sunday morning on Route 9 in Rhinebeck, reports the Poughkeepsie Journal. Dwayne D. Crantz, of Ulster County, died in the accident that occurred near Stone Church Road about 3:34 a.m. after a pickup truck driven by Jeremy A. Carmel Man, 27, Faces Dwai Charge CARMEL, N.Y. – A Carmel man was charged Friday, Sept. 4, with driving with ability impaired by drugs, reports the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Evan M. Simone, 27, of 3 Hazel Lane, Carmel, was stopped for committing multiple traffic violations about 8:48 p.m. on Farmers Mills Road in Kent. Further investigation revealed Simone was under the influence of drugs, officials say. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana. If found guilty, Simone faces up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000, according to the Sheriff's Office.
