Fishkill Woman, 24, Charged With Dwai WAPPINGER, N.Y. – A Fishkill woman was arrested Sunday in Wappinger for driving while ability impaired by drugs, according to New York State Police. Victoria L. Ross, 24, was found to be impaired by drugs by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert after troopers were dispatched to the report of a car driving erratically on Old Hopewell Road, officials say. Ross was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, according to police. She was issued traffic tickets and is due in the Town of Wappinger Court on Tuesday, according to the report.

Ann E. Carlin, 83, Of Peekskill PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Ann E. Carlin, 83, of Peekskill, died Wednesday, Sept. 30. Carlin was a civilian dispatcher for the Peekskill Police Department from 1980 to 1998 according to Chief Eric Johansen. "She was really a lifeline to police officers in the field," Johansen said. "She was very good at what she did. She was a wonderful representative for the Peekskill Police. She had a distinguished career and was a very good friend to all the officers she worked with." Westchester Adds 'Bonus' Bicycle Sunday On Bronx River Parkway WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – A “bonus” Bicycle Sunday on the Bronx River Parkway has been added to the program’s autumn schedule for Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During Bicycle Sundays, a portion of the Bronx River Parkway is closed to cars for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, walkers, scooters and strollers.
