17-Year-Old Victim In Hudson Valley Double-Fatal Crash Was 'Easy To Love' Friends and family members are remembering a 17-year-old teen killed in a double-fatal crash as loving sports and his family. Jack J. Noble, of the hamlet of Port Ewen, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 8, during the collision in Ulster County around 9 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8 on Route 28 in the town of Shandaken. A native of Kingston, Jack was a junior at Kingston High School. He was an honor roll student and a Varsity athlete, his obituary said. The operation, called "Sunrise at Congress 2024," took place in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at several locations. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, the operation was aimed at addressing multiple outstanding domestic violence warrants in the city. The New York State Thruway Authority said the work will take place in Ulster and Orange counties on Saturday, Jan. 20 on the southbound side beginning at Exit 18 in New Platz to Exit 17 in Newburgh. 31-Year-Old Charged After Half-Kilo Of Cocaine Seized On Taconic Parkway A 31-year-old man was allegedly nabbed with a half-kilo of cocaine during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11 on the Taconic Parkway in East Fishkill when New York State Police stopped the driver for traffic violations. Berkshire County, Massachusetts resident Brandon M. Green, age 31, of Pittsfield, was stopped in a 2020 Toyota sedan, said Trooper AJ Hicks. CT Sex Offender Charged With Failing To Report Address 5 Times A Connecticut sex offender is behind bars after allegedly failing to report his address five times. Hartford County resident Thomas L. Laudenslager, age 33, of South Windsor, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 17 on an active warrant. According to Lt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Laudenslager failed to verify his address on five separate occasions in 2022 and 2023 with the state as required by law. Laudenslager turned himself in to the police and was processed and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

The incident took place in Norwalk on Monday, Jan.15 in the parking ot of 5 Haviland St. According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, the suspect approached the victim armed with a handgun and demanded he hand over his personal items and vehicle.  The victim complied and was not injured, Podgorski said.
