A 32-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Mount Olive on Saturday, April 5, authorities said.
At 12:35 a.m., officers observed a tan Mazda fail to maintain its lane of travel on Sand Shore Road, Mount Olive police said.
A traffic stop was initiated near Stephen’s State Park Road, police said. The driver, Daniel Maya, Jr. had an odor of alcohol on his breath and he appeared to be impaired, police said.

A 27-year-old woman is facing felony drug charges after being pulled over in Dutchess County, police said.
The arrest happened on Sunday, March 30, when a trooper stopped a 2024 Toyota traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in LaGrange for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, April 1.
The driver, Angelica M. Vivo, age 27, of the Bronx, was found with around 9.2 grams of cocaine during the stop, according to police.

Multiple gravestones were struck following a car crash at St. Catharine’s Cemetery in Wall on Sunday, March 30, authorities said.
At 7:17 p.m., officers responded to 1100 West Chicago Blvd, the entrance to St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall Township police said.
A vehicle traveling northbound on Village Road crossed West Chicago Boulevard and entered the cemetery grounds, police said. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a curb, cemetery sign and multiple gravestones before coming to a stop, police said.

Girl, 16, Caught With Loaded Gun During Traffic Stop In Watervliet, Police Say
A routine traffic stop in the Capital Region ended with a 16-year-old girl in handcuffs on weapons charges.
Watervliet Police stopped a vehicle at around 5 p.m. Sunday, March 23. During the investigation, the officer determined that the 16-year-old girl driving did not have a valid driver’s license.
The officer then discovered a loaded, illegally-possessed 22 caliber handgun protruding from the waistband of a 16-year-old girl in the passenger’s seat, police said.
