Jewelyn Bruce was driving a gray 2026 Kia K5 north on South Delsea Drive when she failed to maintain her lane near LaTorre Hardware at 1607 S. Delsea Drive at 2:17 a.m. on Monday, June 29, Vineland police said. The Kia struck a curb, drove onto the hardware store property, then reentered the roadway, police said.

Julianny Lantigua, affectionately known as "Juju," died on Thursday, July 2. She was a fourth-grade teacher at the Park Elementary School in Newark.

A 22-year-old man was killed and an 18-year-old woman was critically wounded in a shooting outside a Waterbury nightclub early Sunday, July 5, police said.
Officers responded to LA 42 Night Club, 673 E. Main St., at 12:04 a.m. for reports of shots fired, the Waterbury Police Department said. When officers arrived, they found a large gathering outside the club and evidence of gunfire at the scene.
