Car Hits Deer, Loses Control, Knocks Over Pole In Middletown A vehicle ended up rolled on its side with a damaged telephone pole on top of it after hitting a deer in Orange County.  The dramatic scene played out on Sunday, Nov. 23, just before 3 a.m., when a vehicle struck a deer on Genung Street in Middletown, according to the city's fire department.  According to firefighters, after hitting the deer, the driver lost control and hit a pole at the entrance to Ruth Court.  The department released photos from the scene showing smoke coming from the pole after the crash.  Information about the driver's condition was not immediately available.
