Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Multiple Police Agencies Respond To Large Fight In Toms River Multiple police units were dispatched to the Days Hotel on Route 37 in Toms River for a large fight in a parking lot, authorities said. While responding on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 12:45 a.m., officers received further information regarding possible gunshots. Man, 38, Dies Of Injuries From Camden Shooting: Prosecutor A 38-year-old Camden man died Friday Dec. 15 from injuries sustained in a shooting three weeks earlier, authorities said. On Nov. 20, at 9:08 p.m., Camden County Police responded to Hunter Drive after receiving a 911 call for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man, who was later identified as Anthony Young, 38, was transported to Cooper University Hospital. Rutgers University Students Displaced By Fire Sixteen Rutgers University students lost their housing and most of their belongings in a fire. On Friday, Dec. 15, an electrical fire broke out in the attic of Zeta Beta Tau’s residence on Huntington Street, just off the Rutgers College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick. Thousands Without Power In Central Jersey Due To Wind, Downed Lines Widespread power outages were fueled by high winds and flooding, authorities said. As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, Monmouth County was the hardest hit with more than 15,500 homes and businesses without power, according to Jersey Central Power and Light. Ocean County reported 2,420 without power; Middlesex County experienced 1,109 outages; Mercer County had 955 outages and Burlington County had 90.  There also were scattered outages in Camden and Gloucester counties, PSE&G reported, saying there were 427 outages across South Jersey.
