Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Man, 23, Killed Walking Home From Store With Detergent For Mom In South Jersey, Family Says A 23-year-old Salem County pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash, authorities said. Alex Medina was killed in the crash on Sunday night, Dec. 17, according to Penns Grove Mayor LaDaena Thomas. Penns Grove police were not immediately available to provide further details.
