Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

The crash occurred at about 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 on I-676 northbound at Exit 1 in Gloucester City, according to New Jersey State Police. A Buick ran off the roadway into a ditch, State Police said. There were no injuries, they said. The right shoulder was closed, 511nj.org reported.

Teenager Arrested In Fatal Shooting In Cumberland County A teenager has been charged in the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old man in Cumberland County, authorities said. Jah’lyll Lawrence, who lived in the same residence as the victim, Joe Williams, in Upper Deerfield Township was charged with first-degree muder and weapons offenses, according to the Cumberland County prosecutor. New Jersey State Police responded to the shooting, which occurred early on Saturday, Jan. 20. Drone Helps Find Missing Child In NJ Woods (Video) Authorities have released drone footage that helped find a missing child in a heavily-wooded area of New Jersey. Robbinsville police received a 911 call for a missing child last seen running into a heavily wooded area.  A drone operator from the Robbinsville Police Department Drone Unit was requested along with a K9 from the West Windsor Police Department. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 9 In Central Jersey: Sayreville PD A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 9 in Sayreville early Monday, Jan. 22, authorities said. The man's identification had not been released pending notification of kin, said Lt. James Novak, a Sayreville police spokesman. The fatal crash occurred at about 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Route 9 North near the Sunoco station, Novak said. 51-Year-Old Driver Dies 12 Days After South Jersey Crash: Police A Sicklerville man died of his injuries 12 days after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Deptford Township, police said. Shawn McHugh, 51, crashed shortly after noon on Jan. 6 at the intersection of Delsea Drive and Fox Run Road, according to Deptford police Detective Sgt. Robert Jones.
