Clinton Place Takes Shape: Hackensack Street Decorates For Another Halloween (

Homes on Clinton Place are taking shape. The residents of the Hackensack street have been known to go over-the-top with Halloween decorations. Residents say it started well over a decade ago, with an elderly couple and a massive spider. While fewer residents take part over the years, Clinton still has its fair share of homes boasting skeletons, graveyards, and zombies. Daily Voice took a stroll down the block this weekend. Teen Girl Found At High School After Hours-Long Search Of Watchung Reservation
A 14-year-old girl was found after an hours-long search across Union County. Sources tell Daily Voice that Sophia Hetrick was found at Watchung Hills High School, nearly seven miles from where she went missing, sometime around 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22. The teen, who has autism, went missing around 3 p.m. while hiking with her family in the Loop Recreation area of Watchung Reservation, Union County officials said. Gunpoint 'Stranger Rapist' Caught In Philadelphia: Police
The man police believe raped and robbed two victims in Philadelphia has been arrested the police announced on Sunday, Oct. 22. Michael Henry, 30, has been charged with rape, robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, tampering or fabricating evidence, among 22 charges, according to his latest court docket. As Daily Voice reported, Henry approached a woman in a car on 55th and Kingsessing Avenue around 3 a.m. on Oct. 13. Dismembered Body Found In Suitcase By California Fisherman In 1973 ID'd As NJ Mother
A break in a California cold case has prompted a search for the New Jersey victim's killer, 50 years later. Arminda Grangela Rodrigues da Silva Ribeiro, a Newark mother, has been identified as the victim of a 1973 San Diego killing, according to the SD Crime Stoppers. Her body was found June 13 of that year by a fisherman, in the San Diego Bay between Laurel Street and the US Coast Guard Station. Pennsylvania Firefighter Killed, Girlfriend Critical In Crash En Route To Call
A Pennsylvania fire department is mourning the loss of one of their own. West Whiteland firefighter Colin Reedy, 25, was responding to a call with firefighter Emily Gindele, during heavy downpours on Friday, Oct. 20, when their vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, the department said. The incident happened around 9 p.m., on Pottstown Pike in Uwchlan Township, 6abc reports. : Three Dead In New Brunswick Stabbing
Three people died in what police are calling a double murder-suicide in New Brunswick. Eduardo Mateo Lorenzo, 26, allegedly stabbed Gabriela De La Cruz Camero, 22, and Jesus Antonio-Salazar, 25, before taking his own life on Saturday, Oct. 21, around 11 p.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. De La Cruz Camero was found with multiple stab wounds at Feaster Park, near Handy Street and Throop Avenue, Ciccone said alongside local police. She was taken to the hospital where she died. A Maryland native died while serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, those who knew him said. Omer Balva, 22, of Rockville, died on Friday, Oct. 20, by an antitank missile fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon, the IDF confirmed. Police Asking For Help Finding Minivan In Fatal Jersey City Hit-Run
Authorities in Hudson County are asking for the public's help identifying a minivan in a fatal hit-and-run crash. The light colored Toyota Siena struck 85-year-old Mumtaz Chaudhry near Fairview and Monticello avenues around 6:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Chaudhry was found near Fairmount and Summit avenues, and pronounced dead, Suarez said.
