Authorities have identified the 35-year-old man shot and killed by police in Central Jersey during a confrontation outside Thursday, May 29. Aamir Allen, of Carteret, was found holding a baseball bat when police found him outside of a Port Reading Avenue convenience store at 1 a.m. in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township, the New Jersey Attorney General's Office said. Spa Ordered Shut Over State License Violation, Fair Lawn Officials Say
A Bergen County spa was ordered to shut down immediately after it failed a license check, and it’s not the first time the business has drawn scrutiny from authorities. Goodtime Spa, located at 12-82 River Road in Fair Lawn, was inspected on Wednesday, May 28 by the Fair Lawn Building Department, according to Municipal Clerk Nicholas Magarelli. A Sussex County, NJ, woman and a Texas man admitted to exploiting a child and producing child pornography, as well as to other child pornography offenses, authorities said. Dominique Saczawa, 34, of Sparta, and Russell Lynn Davis, Jr., 47, of Heller, Texas, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Edward S. Kiel in Camden federal court, U.S. Attorney Alina Habba said. A Maryland State Trooper was hospitalized after being rear-ended while driving along Interstate 270, state police said. The crash happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, on Montrose Road near I-270 in Rockville, according to Maryland State Police. Police said the trooper was inside an unmarked patrol vehicle traveling east on I-270 when, “for unknown reasons,” a Toyota Corolla hit the back of the vehicle.
