Daly, U.S. attorney for Connecticut. The nationwide bust is the largest in history, both in terms of the number of defendants charged and amount of money stolen, Daly said Wednesday. Brewster Firefighters Remember Fallen Brother As 'True Hero' BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Brewster firefighters Wednesday marked the 19th anniversary of the death of one of their own. In a Facebook post, the Fire Department called Lt. Michael E. Neuner a "true hero." The 35-year-old volunteer died on June 22, 1997, while battling a house fire in the village. Police said they were summoned by a Danbury woman claiming that the suspect, Paul Arbitelle, had shown up drunk at her house on Fairview Drive in the city and had gotten into a fight with her husband.
