Norwalk Marine Police To Crack Down On Drunk Or High Boaters NORWALK, CONN. – Summer’s fun-filled days on the water can turn tragic quickly if boaters drive while intoxicated or high, say Norwalk police. The department’s Marine Unit announced this week that it is taking part in Operation Dry Water, a national awareness and enforcement campaign. The unit said it is going after impaired boaters with the help of the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the U.S. Coast Guard. Veterinary Clinic Raising Funds For Trumbull Police After Death Of K9 Cyrus TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A local veterinary clinic has stepped up to help after the Trumbull Police Department lost one of its most beloved members. K9 Cyrus, an 8-year-old German shepherd, passed away unexpectedly earlier this month, leaving Officer RJ Carlson without his canine partner of seven years. Cyrus most recently had used his top-notch sniffing abilities to nab suspected heroin dealers in a Bridgeport drug bust, police said.
