Suffern Police Chief Reviews Recent Arrests
SUFFERN, N.Y. – Suffern police have had a busy past few weeks -- both for good and some not-so-good, reasons, said Police Chief Clarke Osborn in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Two arrests made in the village particularly stood out, said Osborn in his post, “The Chief’s Corner.”
The first involved a man who, police said, went on an unprovoked rampage at a local church, beating an elderly employee and destroying a stained-glass window and other precious objects in its sanctuary.
The arresting officer, Osborn said, had to take down the aggressive suspect with a Taser.
