Michele (Michael) Artieri, 89, Of Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Michele (Michael) Artieri, 89, of Fairfield, husband to the late Maria Nardi Artieri, died Sunday, July 19.
He was born in Cosenza, Italy, in 1926. After immigrating to America in 1973, he resided in Bronx, New York, until moving to Fairfield in 2014. He enjoyed playing Bocci, Italian card games and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Elena Porco (Luigi) of Fairfield; Ada Perri (Giuseppe) of Vancouver, British Columbia; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Maria Magdalena Vasquez, 102, of Bridgeport, died Friday, July 17.
She was born in the Dominican Republic, daughter of Luis Tobias and Eusebia Taberas, prior to relocating with her children to the U.S. many years ago.
She is survived by three children, Diogenes, Demostenes and Fernando Vasquez; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Elizabeth Sandra Sondak, 49, of Stamford, died Monday, July 20 at Stamford Hospital.
She was born in Indonesia April 11, 1966, to Franciscus and Maria Kasenda Sondak. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Chris Tanu; her daughters Emilia and Felicia Tanu of Stamford; her mother, Maria Kasenda, of Indonesia; three sisters, all of Indonesia; and a brother in Holland.
She is predeceased by her father, Franciscus Sondak.

NORWALK, Conn. – Barbara J. Iannacone, 80, died Sunday, July 19 at the Norwalk Hospital.
She was born July 9, 1935, in Norwalk. The daughter of the late Harry Boyd and Viola Norton Boyd, she worked for T-bar Corporation in Wilton, Connecticut for several years; Cuthbertson Imports in Norwalk; and most recently, the Norwalk Medical Group.
She was an avid reader and loved cooking, especially for both family and friends.
