Croton Man Charged With Multiple Traffic Infractions YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A Croton-On-Hudson man was arrested Tuesday in Yorktown for speeding and driving a vehicle without a license, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Jose A. Quichimbo, 55, was stopped by police at around 7:44 p.m. for allegedly speeding. A computer check also showed that Quichimbo was driving the vehicle without a license, officials said. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, unlicensed operator and speeding. He was released on $50 cash bail and is due in Yorktown Court Tuesday, Sept. 22., said Yorktown police.

Teaneck Plans How To Evacuate 8,000 In Rail Disaster TEANECK, N.J. – Roughly residents within a half-mile of the CSX River Line that bisects Teaneck would be evacuated during an oil train emergency, the Record reports. Township officials plan to acquire a town-wide loudspeaker system to alert residents if a leak, spill, fire or explosion occurs due to a train derailment carrying Bakken crude oil, according to the report. Wood-Ridge Updating, Repairing Athletic Fields WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. – A $950,000 bond ordinance will be used to make repairs and updates to various fields in Wood-Ridge, Community News reports. Improvements will be made to the Sixth Street, Fourteenth Street and Donna Ricker fields, including replacing the concrete bleachers at the Sixth Street field and adding synthetic turf to the Fourteenth Street field, the report says.
