Tour Harrison Restaurants, Pubs During 'Maroon And White Crawl Night'

Larchmont Avenue Church Selects New Associate Pastor
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – The congregation of the Larchmont Avenue Church has welcomed the Rev. Elizabeth Smith-Bartlett to the position of associate pastor. Mahopac VFD Treasurer Michael Klein Resigns Amid Financial Investigation
MAHOPAC, N.Y. – Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department Treasurer Michael Klein resigned from his position Sept. 25 in the midst of a probe by the state comptroller into missing tax money, reports lohud.com Klein had served as treasurer since 2003, and did not provide a reason for his resignation, according to the story. Wood-Ridge Fire Department Reschedules Fire Engine Rides
WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. – The postponed fire engine rides in Wood-Ridge in honor of fire prevention week will take place from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Join the Wood-Ridge Fire Department at the firehouse for a day of food, rides and fire-prevention education. Riverkeeper Says Atlantic Sturgeon Deaths Related To Bridge Project
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. – Environmental group Riverkeeper says more than 110 dead Atlantic sturgeon, an endangered fish, have been found in the Hudson River since the new Tappan Zee Bridge construction began, reports lohud. Eyewitness statements recorded by the state show a jump in reported deaths of sturgeon the last three years, and Riverkeeper states the cause is the propellers of the boats taking workers back and forth to the construction site, according to the report. Putnam Valley Man Charged With Driving With Suspended License In Yorktown
PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. – A Putnam Valley man was arrested in Yorktown Sunday for driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Arsenio R. Ortiz, 44, was stopped at around 1:58 p.m. on Route 6 for allegedly speeding. An investigation on scene also found that the vehicle he was driving was unregistered.
