Carmelo A. Iannuzzo, 90, Yonkers Resident
YONKERS, N.Y. – Carmelo A. Iannuzzo, of Yonkers, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 90.
He was born July 17, 1925, in Mount Kisco, one of 10 children, the son of the late Diego and Maria (Castellano) Iannuzzo. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he suffered injuries on active duty, for which he received the Purple Heart medal. He retired from the New York City Department of Sanitation in 1986, grateful for the 10 years of retirement he would spend with his wife of 43 years, Josephine LoBalbo Iannuzzo, who predeceased him in 1997.

Roberta Florence Lewis, 66, Fishkill Resident
FISHKILL, N.Y. – Roberta Florence Lewis, a resident of Fishkill since 1988, and formerly of Yonkers, died Sunday, Jan. 24, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 66.
She was born in LaCrosse, Wisc., on Aug. 19, 1949, to Robert and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Hagen.
She dedicated her career to health care as a registered nurse. In 1981, she began working at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers and retired in 2014. She volunteered for Mid-Hudson Animal Aid in Beacon and also pursued many hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, as well as knitting and traveling. S…
Dr. George Bousvaros, 86, Larchmont Resident
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Dr. George Bousvaros, of Larchmont, died Tuesday, Jan. 19 after a brief illness. He was 86.
He was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, the only child of Athanasios and Glykeria Bousvaros.
He graduated with the highest honors from the University of Athens Medical School, completed postgraduate training in cardiology in London and Canada, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1966.
During his career as a physician, he was chief of the divisions of cardiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany and Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, and professor of medicine at Albany Me…
