Jean Altizio, 90, Hopewell Junction Resident
HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. – Jean Altizio, of Hopewell Junction, died Monday, Jan. 25, at the Waterview Hills Nursing Center in Purdys. She was 90.
She previously lived in Hyde Park, Greenville, Mahopac, Valhalla and the Bronx.
She was born in the Bronx on Oct. 22, 1925, to Salvatore and Rose (Vaccaro) Pizzo.
On March 3, 1946, in the Bronx, she married Patrick R. Altizio.
She had worked as a dental assistant, hospital admissions clerk and later as a librarian in Greenville and Cairo. Along with her husband, Patrick, she founded the Higher Ground Christian Center in Greenville in 1982.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – Johnnie M. Hammond (Truesdale), of Englewood, died Tuesday, Jan. 19. She was 94.
She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Flat Rock Township in Kershaw, S.C., to John and Molly (Kirkland) Truesdale. She attended the Belmont Baptist Church in Westville, S.C. She and her family then moved to Englewood. She was a resident of Englewood for more than 40 years. She was a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Englewood.

Adelaide S. Campbell, 98, Mount Vernon Resident
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Adelaide S. Campbell, a longtime resident of Mount Vernon, and prior resident of Larchmont, died Friday, Jan. 22. She was 98.
Born Oct. 16, 1917, to Uriah E. and Lillian (Simon) Summers in Larchmont, she attended the public schools of Larchmont, Mamaroneck and graduated from Rhodes School of New York City.
She was married to Arthur B. Campbell.
She was a member of St. Simon's Episcopal Church of New Rochelle and served as secretary, treasurer, vestry, and was a member of the Justin society and choir for many years.

James A. Jennings Jr., 90, Rye Resident
RYE, N.Y. – James A. Jennings Jr., of Rye, died Sunday, Jan. 24. He was 90.
He was born to James and Elizabeth Kirwin Jennings on Nov. 6, 1925, in Deal, N.J. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and received both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
After returning from Europe, he married Eleanor Krueger, in 1945, and settled in New Rochelle where they raised their three sons.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Brother John Adrian Reidy, of New Rochelle, died Saturday, Jan. 23. He was 84.
Reidy was born Dec. 16, 1931, in New Rochelle, to John and Louise Taylor Reidy.
He was a graduate of St. Augustine's in Larchmont, Blessed Sacrament High School and Iona College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in pastoral counseling. He received his master’s degree in religious education from Fordham University.

YONKERS, N.Y. – Lena D'Intino of Yonkers died Sunday, Jan. 24. She was 101.
She was born in Compobasso, Italy, on Feb. 1, 1914. She married Anthony D'Intino in 1939, and they celebrated 64 years together before his death in 2002.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
