She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Person Struck, Killed By Lirr Train A person was killed after being struck by a Long Island Railroad train. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 1:20 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, at the Cuba Hill Road railroad crossing in the Huntington hamlet of Greenlawn. The individual, who has not yet been identified, was struck by an eastbound train, said MTA officials. Train service was delayed for two hours, with normal travel returning around 3:30 a.m. The MTA Police investigation is ongoing. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Naugatuck Man Killed In Crash Loved Music, Was 'Geninue Dude' A Connecticut man was killed and another is in critical but stable condition following a five-vehicle crash. New Haven County resident Travis LaRowe, age 22, of Naugatuck, was killed during the crash around 8:30 p.m., Friday, June 16, at 848 New Haven Road in Naugatuck. According to Sgt. D. Durette of the Naugatuck Police, LaRowe was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle, along with two other motorcycle riders when he was hit. High School Baseball Field Machete Attack: Man Critically Injured In Bridgeport A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being attacked with a machete at a high school baseball field in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Sunday, June 18 around 8:15 p.m. in Bridgeport at the John F. Kennedy Stadium located on the grounds of Central High School at 1 Lincoln Blvd. When Bridgeport Police Department officers arrived on the scene they found the man suffering from a very large wound to the abdomen. Wallet Stolen At Darien Whole Foods Police are investigating after a woman shopping at a Fairfield County Whole Foods had her wallet stolen and one of her credit cards later used. The incident took place in Darien around 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at the Whole Foods located at 150 Ledge Road. According to Darien Police, the woman said she was shopping a the store and when she went to pay found that her wallet was missing. Man With 33 Convictions Sentenced For Hudson Valley Domestic Violence Attack A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to aggravated family offense for attacking a person under a protective order. Dutchess County resident Lorenzo Jackson, age 59, of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced in Orange County to one-and-half to three years in prison for the November 2022 incident in New Windsor, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen At Darien YMCA Police in Fairfield County are investigating after three vehicles had their windows smashed and belongings stolen. The incident took place in Darien around 11:20 a.m. on Monday, June 5 at the YMCA located at 2420 Post Road. 'You Are Dead': CT Man Posts Threatening Message To Lamont, Murphy, Police Say A Connecticut man has been charged with harassment after posting a threatening message on Instagram allegedly threatening Gov. Ned Lamont and US Sen. Chris Murphy, D-5th District. Stratford Brothers Throw Assault Rifle Out Car Window Fleeing Traffic Stop, Police Say Two Fairfield County brothers have been arrested for allegedly throwing an illegal assault rifle out of a car window while fleeing from a traffic stop. Charlie Echevarria, age 28, and Moses Echevarria, age 24, both of Stratford, were arrested on Lenox Avenue on Sunday, June 11, said Lt. Robert Burroughs, of the Stratford Police. Hudson Valley Man Who Claimed He Was Shot Charged With Breaking Window During Fight A Hudson Valley man who told police he had been shot, was arrested after police found he had been cut while punching in a window during a dispute. The incident took place in Rockland County around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7 in Stony Point. According to Lt.
