Drug Seizure: Hudson Valley Man Charged With Possession Of Fentanyl, Cocaine
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after being busted with alleged cocaine, fentanyl, and other drugs during a search of an area motel room.
Dutchess County resident James R. Scott, age 35, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Tuesday, June 20 following an investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
The task force has been actively investigating the sale of cocaine, fentanyl, and other drugs in the Dutchess County area, said Det. Sgt. Adam D. Harris, of the task force.

Suspect On Loose: CT Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Home, Police Say
Police are searching for a suspect after a Connecticut woman was found stabbed to death in her home.
The incident took place in Hartford County around 6:30 a.m., Sunday, June 18 at 10 Martin Circle in East Hartford.
East Hartford officers were dispatched to the home on a check welfare call for service, said Officer Marc Caruso, of the East Hartford Police.
Upon entering, police located a woman identified as 51-year-old, Andra Elizabeth Valcinor, of East Hartford, who was unresponsive, and pronounced dead on scene by paramedics, Caruso said.

Fatal Fire: 2 Escape Jail After Blaze Claiming Lives Of Hudson Valley Firefighter, Other Man
Two rabbis who pleaded guilty to a fatal fire at an adult home in the Hudson Valley have escaped jail time through a plea deal.
Rockland County residents Nathaniel Sommer, age 72, of Monsey, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, June 20 to two counts of second-degree manslaughter and is expected to be sentenced to five years probation, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh.
His son, Aaron Sommer, age 29, also of Monsey, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree reckless endangerment, which carries a sentence of three years probation, Walsh added.
