Combative Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With IEDs, Gun, Drugs, Police Say A combative Hudson Valley man was allegedly nabbed with three explosive devices, guns, and drugs while police were serving an order of protection. The incident occurred in Orange County around 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16 in the village of Chester. Stolen Dirt Bikes Include CT Boy's Make-a-wish Gift After Battling Cancer Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help tracking down two dirt bikes stolen from a garage, including one gifted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The incident occurred in Windham County around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20, from a James Street West garage in the town of Putnam. According to Putnam Police, someone broke into a detached locked garage and stole two off-road motorcycles. The homeowner estimated the thefts occurred a short time before discovering the burglary. 5 Men Charged With Grand Larceny At Long Island Target Five men have been charged with grand larceny at a Long Island Target. The incident took place in Valley Stream around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20. According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers responded to the store, located at 500 West Sunrise Highway, for a larceny in progress. Know Him? Man Wanted In New CT Phone Bail Scam, Police Say Connecticut State Police are warning residents of another phone bail scam to which at least one resident has fallen victim. State Police report the latest incident took place in Middlesex County on Friday, Feb. 16 in East Haddam when a resident gave money to an alleged scammer after receiving a call that a family member was in trouble. According to the complainant, the resident received a phone call indicating that a family member was in custody as a result of their involvement in a motor vehicle accident. Parents Charged In Region For Allegedly Not Paying Thousands In Child Support Sheriff's deputies in the region charged three people for allegedly failing to pay their child support. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the following individuals on Family Court warrants for child support violations: Melissa A. Lynch, age 36, of Swan Lake, was charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 for not paying $2,500 in child support. The collision occurred in Hartford County around 5:15 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the area of Waterville Road and Reverknolls in Avon. According to Lt. 1 Killed In Single-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash One person was killed and another was seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20 in Orange County near exit 39 on the eastbound side of I-84 in the town of Newburgh.
